Ed Hook

"Columbia has given me the opportunity to work with a dedicated group of individuals on a challenging, but rewarding project. I am very grateful to have been given this chance, and look forward to being a member of the Columbia Team for years to come."

Joined Columbia in 2017

Ed joined the Columbia team in 2017 as a Safety Manager for the Siemen’s Marco Project. In his role, Ed has an excellent eye for detail to identify hazards, as well as for discovering opportunities for improving conditions and execute various safety programs. A stickler for rules and order, Ed is responsible for establishing policies that creates and maintains a safe workplace. Described as an out-going, helpful, and dedicated employee, Ed’s ability to communicate guidelines to a multidisciplinary workforce is essential.

A self- proclaimed “Mainer” at heart, Ed spends most of his weekends at his camp in Northern New England. Ed truly knows how to embrace the woods, dirt roads, and fresh air! From wakeboarding and jet skis to downhill skiing and building large fires, Ed loves his Maine getaways. An avid runner, Ed tries to run five mile every day, using the time to clear his head.  It comes with no surprise that Ed’s favorite motto is, “All I knew is that I never wanted to be average,” due to his exploratory personality.
