| Project Superintendent
“Columbia is the best company I have ever worked for. Everyone cares and that makes it easier to go above and beyond what’s normally expected – because that’s the norm here and everyone does that.”
As a Project Superintendent for Columbia’s Interiors Division, John works hard to represent the company well to clients by delivering a quality product, meeting the schedule and creating positive relationships. With over 25 years of experience under his belt, his insight and problem solving skills allow him to resolve any issues that may arise onsite while he expertly manages all subcontractors and field staff. Known for his even-keel personality, John enjoys the challenges he faces on the job because they keep him on his toes – he is never bored! John has overseen a multitude of fast track and complex projects throughout his career. His main focus is to understand the client’s needs and goals for their project, and to get the job done.
When not on the job, John can be found spending time with his wife and young son outdoors. He enjoys hanging out with his extended family too, and spends a lot of time in the summer camping on the beach near a family home in Hull. He hopes to explore the outdoors even more in the future – his bucket list includes visiting Sequoia National Park, camping in Alaska, walking on an iceberg and seeing the Northern Lights. (He is also secretly having a bust of himself made, which he plans to place on a vacant pedestal in Boston, complete with fake dedication plaque from the mayor! But you didn't hear that from us.) John’s claim to fame is that his wedding picture is used in an advertisement for The Knot wedding magazine! We’re not sure if that qualifies him as a professional model or not, but he does make a habit out of photo-bombing pictures.
