"Columbia is a great company to work for. Management expects you to do your job and do it well, but to have a social and family life as well. They strive to have their employees achieve the perfect life-work balance."

Mike Davidson, LEED AP

Senior Estimator

Joined Columbia in 2004

Michael has over 16 years of experience in the construction industry. In his role as a Senior Estimator, Mike has the ability to evaluate complex construction projects and develop preconstruction programming, conceptual budgets and competitive bidding, making him a valuable asset to each project. He has worked on a range of project types, from small-scale renovation jobs to large-scale new construction projects. Mike is very knowledgeable and is responsible for bidding a project and working with the entire team to produce a competitive and accurate project estimate and budget. With the mindset to always work hard but also remembering to have fun, Mike’s most memorable and significant project to date at Columbia was serving as the lead estimator on the LEED Gold certified General Services Administration office building in Andover, MA.

Outside of Columbia you can find Mike either skiing down the slopes or on the course practicing his golf swings. Mike also enjoys cooking and reading in his spare time. He is always looking to add to his large collection of Lego and Comic book action figures. Mike’s dream is to visit all 50 states and Washington, D.C. Not counting layovers in California and Illinois, Mike only has 31 more locations to go to cross this adventure off his bucket list.
