Over a period of several years, St. John’s Preparatory School embarked on a capital improvement plan to upgrade and expand its campus operations to meet the evolving needs of their 1,500+ student population. Columbia was involved in a number of these construction efforts, serving as construction manager.
Located in Danvers, MA, the 175-acre campus is a blend of old and new, with state-of-the-art facilities sited alongside many historical buildings. Below are a few project highlights that have advanced the educational experience on the St. John’s campus:
- 68,000 sf renovation to Brother Benjamin Hall, housing new biology and physics laboratories.
- Construction of the new Studzinski Library & Technology Center, containing over 28,000 sf of classrooms, offices, and a state-of-the-art library.
- Major renovations and a 4,000 sf addition to Xavier Hall, one of the oldest buildings on campus.
- Installation of a new state-of-the-art synthetic field used for a variety of sports and campus activities.
