Columbia oversaw the fit-out of offices for TIBCO Software, who occupied two-floors of the 281 Summer Street building in downtown Boston. As a nationwide technology software firm, TIBCO took approximately 41,000 sf of space on the 2nd and 3rd floors of this 7-story building, which was formerly a mill building originally constructed in 1906. TIBCO’s goal for their new offices was to maintain the character of the old mill building and update it with colorful interior elements.
The scope of the project included 2nd floor offices and workstations for the R&D engineering group, with a server room and an exterior mechanical mezzanine. The 3rd floor includes an Executive Briefing Center with sliding glass doors for space flexibility. The space also includes a supplemental restroom, and pantry area.
