As a Safety Manager and Certified Construction Health and Safety Technician, Ryan genuinely cares for the wellbeing of the tradespeople on projects. Skilled at writing detailed safety reports, analyzing job hazard metrics, and evaluating and training project staff, he confidently enforces health and safety programs on the job site. With a background in providing emergency medical treatments, and a clear and concise communication style, Ryan knows how to convey objectives, goals and tasks that ensure workers safety. For Ryan, knowing his teammates go home safely to family and friends at the end of a workday is the most rewarding part of his job at Columbia.
A known multitasker and doer, able to prioritize competing tasks, Ryan attributes his valuable skillset to the time he spent working as a commercial fisherman/lobsterman. Today, he still enjoys spending time on the water, and in his free time you can find Ryan fishing with his son. He also enjoys the adrenaline-fueled sport of whitewater kayaking, and one day Ryan hopes to travel to Japan and experience the pristine rivers and natural beauty of the area by kayak.
