Columbia announces the Life Sciences Group has been renamed to Science + Technology to better reflect their focus on the construction and renovation of biotechnology, pharmaceutical R&D, manufacturing, chemical, battery, semiconductor, robotics, healthcare, medical device, and tech spaces.

The Columbia Science + Technology Group builds upon the firm’s comprehensive portfolio of laboratories, manufacturing facilities, cleanrooms, pilot plants, warehouses, bulk chemical plants, biological processing facilities, and other related sites. The Science + Technology Group utilizes sophisticated building information modeling tools to deliver a safe and efficient project, and its ambitious work is supported by Columbia’s in-house Energy Division, ensuring that projects are sustainable and energy-efficient. Columbia works within the guidelines of ASME, ASHRAE, API, ANSI, OSHA, EPA, cGMP, AAALAC, and FDA regulations.
