Columbia is committed to making a difference. We value giving back to the communities in which we live and work. Our employees reflect an unquenchable community spirit by participating in company-sponsored programs and volunteering independently. Columbia is actively involved with local non-profit organizations, including the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, Community Servings, Cradles to Crayons, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Habitat for Humanity, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless, Merrimack Valley Food Bank, More Than Words, Scleroderma Foundation, and Toys for Tots, to name a few.
Additionally, Columbia’s employee-led outreach committee provides many hands-on opportunities for employees to give back to the community so our team can come together to support various causes. Staff are also encouraged to mentor inside and outside the office with charities and through area institutions.
Columbia consistently ranks among the top charitable companies in Massachusetts. Columbia has been repeatedly recognized as one of the region’s “Top Charitable Contributors” by the Boston Business Journal and has received Service Leader Impact Awards from Building Impact, recognizing our commitment to volunteerism and service within Greater Boston.
The Boston Business Journal named Columbia one of the region’s “Top Charitable Contributors” in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
