Berklee College of Music’s 150 Massachusetts Avenue building is a mixed-use building housing various academic and residential uses. The complex is historic in nature and is located at the crossroads of Berklee’s downtown Boston campus.
Work on the building involved the complete redesign and refurbishment of its street-level facade to create a more welcoming entryway for the Berklee community. The improvements will bring more natural light to the ground level of the building and provide a better flow of space for the public.
Accessibility improvements and seismic upgrades were also implemented, including the installation of a new elevator. Renovations also encompassed 44,000 sf of interior space throughout the 7 story building, upgrading all areas while creating new gathering and teaching spaces.
