Boston Scientific, a leader in medical device production, required a state-of-the-art technology and interactive learning spaces to enable doctors and employees to receive hands-on training and education. Columbia completed renovations to deliver a 20,000 SF training center conducive to innovative thinking and experimentation.
Existing office space was converted into the multi-purpose training and conference center, featuring procedure rooms for simulated surgeries, large conference rooms with movable walls, an auditorium/theater, and amenity spaces. Designed to enhance the learning experience and create a stimulating atmosphere, the center required lead-lined walls due to the use of lasers. Additionally, the procedure rooms were outfitted with advanced audio-visual equipment and cameras mounted on pivot beams in each room, allowing mock procedures to be recorded and shared for educational use.
The company’s branding was emphasized through custom-designed carpet tiles and lighting. Unique layouts and designs were utilized throughout to support individual areas.
