Committed to providing cutting-edge care, the Center for Professional Development and Simulation at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, constructed a state-of-the-art simulation and training lab. The new lab creates a realistic health care setting using the latest technology and training methods for employees to learn new techniques, improve teamwork and optimize their response to medical emergencies.

The scope of work included the conversion of existing space to a simulation and training lab that includes a mock OR and patient/exam rooms with a full simulation & A/V package operated from a central control room. Adjacent storage space, conference room, and a kitchen/lounge area support the space. Funded by a private donor, the design team took great care to create a welcoming but significant entrance from the hospital’s main corridor.
