The new outpatient primary care practice on the first floor of Partners HealthCare’s new complex at Assembly Row is the healthcare provider’s first facility conveniently located in a retail environment. This innovative, team-based facility delivers high quality, integrated patient-centered comprehensive adult primary care services to its patients.
The new practice includes a reception/waiting area, a phlebotomy area, 13 exam rooms, as well as, administrative and support spaces including offices, nurse stations, multi-purpose room, nourishment area, medication dispensing area, equipment storage, clean supply room and a utility room. The large, open "hub" care environment allows for close collaboration for clinical team members and provides different levels of privacy for both collaborative and heads down work within the open area.
Utilizing Lean Construction, the team worked collaboratively to meet the tight, three month schedule. BIM technology was also utilized to coordinate all scope items in order to eliminate any unforeseen construction conflicts.
