Raytheon, a leading technology company specializing in defense, security, and civil markets, expanded into The Center at Innovation Drive. Their newly fit-out 120,000 square foot space will accommodate their growing employee base and recent hiring surge.
Spanning Buildings 300 and 400, the new space includes over 650 workstations and more than 150 private offices in addition to huddle rooms and kitchenette areas. Classified conference rooms feature sound proof material to allow for private conversations. Finishes include acoustical ceiling and carpeting, and new plumbing was installed for the kitchenette areas.
This project was completed on a fast track schedule of 14 weeks. Columbia worked proactively to ensure that Raytheon’s target end date was met, including fast coordination with subcontractors on-site, and performing off-hours work. Despite design changes, the project was ultimately delivered on time and on budget.
"This project is a great example of success through collaboration and hard work, everyone did their job and executed. From the design team, pre-construction team, to the superintendents, project managers and subcontractors, everyone did their part and the result was truly awesome. 130,000 SF of world class office space to support Raytheon’s hiring surge in just four months. I am so proud to have been part of such a special project"
