Sartorius, a leading international partner of life science research and the biopharmaceutical industry, is expanding its Northeast operations by building out a new R&D facility in Marlborough, MA. With the goal of becoming a global leader in the biopharmaceutical industry, Sartorius modified the facility to increase production capacity and meet global demands across North America, Europe, and China.

The 3-story facility in Marlborough housed office space and underwent significant infrastructure upgrades to focus on client Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) services ranging from drug discovery to a variety of bioanalytical services.

Work included the build-out of a 15,000 square foot office area, 20,000 square foot R&D Lab area, and a cGMP clean room area totaling 15,000 square feet. Other upgrades included utilities, a new freight elevator, and prefabricated mechanical penthouses.
