Originally built in 1928 as Boston’s first Art Deco skyscraper, this historic property was known as the Batterymarch Building. Located on Broad Street, near the financial district and Faneuil Hall, The Dagny is a 15-story hotel modernized with characteristics fitting this storied structure.
The substantial renovation project at the hotel, formally known as the Hilton Boston Downtown/Faneuil Hall, focused on interior modifications. The renovation was performed on more than 400 guestrooms and suites. Bathroom upgrades included bathtub to shower conversions that modernized the space with a fresh look. The common spaces and elevator lobbies were revitalized, creating a more inviting atmosphere for guests. Columbia committed to identifying creative ways to help drive value, modifications were implemented in phases to not interfere with operations of the occupied hotel while maintaining an aggressive schedule.
