Columbia Hires James Wrisley as Project Executive

Columbia announces the appointment of James Wrisley as Project Executive. Wrisley comes to Columbia with more than two decades of construction experience, including major projects for Boston University, MIT, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Genzyme, and many more.

“James joins us with a thorough, multifaceted understanding of construction best practices, achieved through his noteworthy work in a variety of key roles, from project management to project executive,” says Columbia Senior Vice President Dan Cobb. “Throughout his career, he has also demonstrated a strong commitment to supporting the personal growth and career development of his colleagues. We’re excited to welcome him to Columbia.”

As Project Executive, Wrisley will focus on oversight of project operations from planning and development through execution and project closeout. The role will also include fostering a collaborative team approach, providing staff training and development opportunities, and serving as an ambassador of the ‘Columbia Way’, a set of distinctive guiding principles that elevate Columbia projects and processes.

Wrisley has a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Roger Williams University, and is both past chairman of the Association of General Contractors Young Contractors Council and former co-chair of the Roger Williams Construction Management Professional Advisory Board.
