Boston Scientific made a strategic decision to relocate its corporate headquarters from its former location in Natick, MA, to another of their facilities in Marlborough, MA. To facilitate this relocation and transform the Marlborough campus into a corporate headquarters, several construction projects were necessary. Columbia Construction has worked to construct these projects, including renovations to an existing 50,000 sf building and the construction of a new 110,000 building.

The renovation phase transformed the existing building to conform to Boston Scientific’s new standards. Comprised of an open office concept, the facility includes many collaborative meeting and conference spaces. The new 110,000 sf building houses executive operations and includes executive board rooms, a conference and training center, a 2-story entrance lobby and enclosed connector to other buildings on campus.

Columbia also renovated the fitness center, cafeteria, daycare center, and parking areas that serve the four-building complex as part of this project. Building 100 was also retrofitted to match the look of the newer buildings, and a 100,000 sf renovation on three floors was completed which included laboratory space.
