| Project Superintendent
“Columbia is a friendly company.”
Joined Columbia in 2008
As a Project Superintendent, Dave supervises all types of trades, while overseeing and implementing the project schdule documentation, safety and quality control. With over 30 years of experience under his belt, he provides expertise in various areas of construction, including preconstruction, subcontractor scopes, buy-outs, and site logistics. Dave enjoys the challenges that come with three dimensional problem solving while onsite. He cites the MCLA Center for Science and Innovation as one of the most significant ground up projects so far. As an effective communicator, Dave’s relationships with clients, architects, owners, and subcontractors promote the successful completion of projects that are on time and within budget.
When not onsite, Dave stays very active! He has competed in over a dozen triathlons (that’s swimming, running and biking!) over the past several years. Two of them were Ironman 70.3 races, which means the distance totaled 70.3 miles! One of Dave’s favorite quotes is “there is no such thing as a stupid question”, he believes that the more you are willing to admit that you don’t know, the more you will learn. If he wasn’t overseeing Columbia job sites, Dave would become a police officer so that he could ticket drivers going slow in the fast lane or texting while driving.
